Scholarships

As a conference centered on understanding and engagement between various global perspectives, we advocate for the participation of a diverse array of voices. Because of this, we’d like to offer students easier access to the conference through a range of scholarships coordinated with the generosity of our conference partners and sponsors.

Harvard Club of Germany

The Harvard Club of Germany (Rhein-Main) covers up to 500€ in travel expenses and the conference ticket fees.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be 18-30 years old.
  • Currently enrolled at a German university or engaged in professional training.
  • Interested in U.S.-German relations.
  • Proper visa and travel health insurance are required.

 

How to Apply:
Submit the following materials to info@germanamericanconference.org with the subject line “GAC Scholarship Application”:

  • Your resume (max. 2 pages).
    Answers to the following three questions:
    • How would you benefit from attending the GAC 2024? (max. 100 words)
    • How would the GAC benefit from having you? (max. 100 words)
    • What is your transatlantic story, and why are you interested in the transatlantic relationship? (max. 200 words)

OR

  • A link to a short video (max. 5 minutes) where you introduce yourself and explain your interest in transatlantic relations and your motivation for attending GAC. Be creative!

The Halle Foundation

The Halle Foundation Scholarship

The Halle Foundation is a grant making foundation, located in Atlanta Georgia, that was founded by The Coca-Cola Company executive Claus Halle to promote friendship and understanding between the peoples of Germany and the United States.

 The Halle Foundation provides scholarship funding each year to exceptional students in the German programs at nine Georgia colleges and universities to enable them to attend the German American Conference at Harvard.

QuantCo Travel Scholarship

QuantCo is offering up to 10 travel scholarships for German university students to attend the 2024 GAC.

The scholarship covers:

  • Round trip flights (up to €600)
  • A 4 night hotel stay from November 14 to November 18, 2024
  • A dinner with QuantCo
