Hildegard Müller
Hildegard Müller, born in 1967, has been the President of the VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry) since February 1, 2020. Before studying business administration at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, Müller completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk at Dresdner Bank AG in Düsseldorf. Her last position at Dresdner Bank was as Department Director.
From October 2002 to September 2008, she was a member of the German Bundestag. Additionally, from November 2005 to September 2008, she served as Minister of State at the Federal Chancellery.
In October 2008, Hildegard Müller took on the role of Chair of the Executive Management Board of the Federal Association of Energy and Water Management (BDEW) in Berlin. From May 2016, she was a member of the Executive Board of innogy SE, responsible for the Network & Infrastructure division, as well as the coordination of digitalization projects.
