Jonathan Bach

Jonathan Bach is professor of Global Studies, dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies, and faculty affiliate in Anthropology at The New School. He is also a faculty affiliate at Yale University's European Studies Council and Columbia University's Center on Organizational Innovation and an Associate Member of the Center for the Anthropological Research on Museums and Heritage at the Humboldt University, Berlin. His recent work explores the politics of memory, material culture, and urban space in Germany and China. He is the author of _What Remains: Everyday Encounters with the Socialist Past in Germany_ (Columbia University Press 2017).
