Michael Bewerunge

Michael Bewerunge, born in 1961 in Ratingen, is the head of the ZDF Studio in Vienna/Southeast Europe since October 2024. Previously, he held roles as ZDF Studio Head in Tel Aviv (2020-2024), Saxony (2017-2020), and as a correspondent in Rome (2012-2016). He was also involved in the creation and moderation of the “Politix” magazine in 2012. Bewerunge's career at ZDF spans several positions, including roles in Berlin and Bonn. He is an alumnus of the German School of Journalism in Munich and holds a degree in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin.
