Prof. Dr. Sascha Spoun
Since 2006, Prof. Dr. Sascha Spoun has served as the President of Leuphana University of Lüneburg, where he has been instrumental in shaping the university’s strategic direction. In addition to his leadership role at Leuphana, he has held a visiting professorship in University Management at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland, furthering his expertise in higher education governance. His academic career also includes a lecturer position at the University of Zurich and a junior professorship at the University of St. Gallen, where he led initiatives in university development, including the Contextual Studies Program and leadership in coaching and mentoring. Known for his contributions to higher education policy, he has served as the speaker of both the Consortium of Northern German Universities since 2021 and the LHK Commission on Teaching & Studies since 2019, advocating for innovation and quality in teaching and learning across universities.
