Professor Dr. med. Martina Müller-Schilling, MHBA
Prof. Dr. med. Martina Müller-Schilling, MHBA, leads the Department of Internal Medicine I at the University Hospital Regensburg, where she oversees specialties in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Immunology, and Infectious Diseases. She earned her medical degree from the University of Heidelberg and conducted postdoctoral research at the German Cancer Center (DKFZ). She pursued advanced studies at the University of Michigan and Harvard Medical School. Additionally, she holds a Master of Health Business Administration (MHBA) from Friedrich-Alexander-University, Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany.
Since 2023, Prof. Müller-Schilling has chaired the National Societies Committee and has been an active Council member of United European Gastroenterology (UEG). In 2024, she was elected to the Council of the German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS). She is on the Board of Trustees of Villa Vigoni, the German-Italian Centre for the European Dialogue.
Passionate about healthcare innovation, she advocates for planetary health and sustainability, the promotion of talent, interprofessional education, and gender medicine. She is committed to raising public awareness of preventive health measures and enhancing the well-being of physicians.
