Ramon Zapata

"Ramón Zapata is a financial executive with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical, generics, and FMCG industries. Currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Novartis Research in Cambridge, MA, Ramón plays a pivotal role in aligning the research portfolio with strategic disease areas and advancing the organization’s innovation efforts. His career spans over two decades, marked by leadership roles at global companies such as Novartis, Sandoz, and Mondelēz International, where he has driven strategic growth, managed multi-billion-dollar operations, and led digital finance transformations.
Ramón is currently pursuing a master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Harvard University. He holds a Master's in Tax Legislation from ITAM, and an MBA from IESE.
