Shirley Martey Hargis
Shirley Martey Hargis is a foreign policy and security geopolitical strategist on the People’s Republic of China and Taiwan’s security-related foreign affairs and domestic politics, including Asia-U.S./Europe relations. She is a nonresident Fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Global China Hub & Digital Forensic Research Lab and serves on the Truman National Security Project Board of Directors in Washington, DC. Previously, she was a Senior China Policy Fellow at Third Way’s bipartisan U.S.-China Digital World Order Initiative. Hargis led and managed the Countering PRC and Acquisition and Misuse of Weaponizable Tech & Talent team at CRDF Global for a U.S. government agency, covering military-civil fusion activities, dual-use technologies, and technology transfer. She focuses on emerging technologies and economy/finance in consulting, intelligence service as a government contractor, and policy research.
