Essays will be pre-selected in a blind review by top emerging scholars from leading universities in the US and Germany. The final Award Jury features prominent experts in transatlantic relations:

Transatlantic Thought Leaders: The 10 best essay writers will earn the title of Transatlantic Thought Leader and be featured with their essay on the official website of the German American Conference. Writers can choose to have their full name published or remain anonymous, depending on their preference.
Travel Scholarship: The top three winners will have their travel expenses covered (up to 1,000$) and the opportunity to present their ideas during the Award Ceremony.
We are looking for essays that are original, thought-provoking, and creative. We encourage you to think outside the box, offer a fresh perspective, and deliver a distinctive take on the topic question.

Eligibility: To participate in the GAC Essay Competition, you must be born in 1995 or later.
