Middle East Event: October 7th and the Consequences – A German, American Perspective

November 17 @ 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm

This panel will explore the Israel-Palestine conflict’s latest escalation since October 7th, 2023, when Hamas launched a major attack on Israel, sparking a severe military response. The resulting humanitarian crisis in Gaza has led to widespread casualties and severe shortages of essential supplies, drawing international concern. Following Dr. Benedikt Franke’s introductory keynote on current developments in the Middle East conflict and its geopolitical dimensions, he will join our panel of experts to examine the conflict’s broader implications for regional stability, the role of international diplomacy, and potential pathways to mitigate the crisis and achieve a sustainable resolution. The discussion will examine the challenges faced by key players, particularly the U.S. and Germany.
