Migration has shaped the histories and identities of both Germany and the United States. Despite different historical contexts, both nations face ongoing debates over immigration and integration. This panel will explore the historical and contemporary challenges of migration in both countries. From border security and refugee crises to integration and populism, the discussion will highlight shared challenges, evolving policies, and the impact on national identities, offering insights into the future of migration on both shores of the Atlantic.
