Workshop: Navigating Differences – Why We Aren’t Made for Understanding One Another and What to Do About It

November 16 @ 10:15 am - 11:30 am

Join us for an engaging workshop on the question: How do we form such different beliefs despite having the same basic biology? And how can you navigate differences in beliefs, differences in perception, and differences in opinion? Together, we’ll explore research on how we reason, how we interpret the reasoning of others, how our brains process ingroup and outgroup dynamics, and the challenges this presents. Through an interactive exercise, we’ll develop practical tools to navigate such complexity and foster understanding across divides.

SPEAKERS:

  • Anselm Dannecker: Senior Fellow at the Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Collaboratory at the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School
