RANGE Workshop: Predicting the German-American Partnership

November 16 @ 10:15 am - 11:30 am

In this session, participants will use the Bertelsmann Foundation’s RANGE forecasting platform to engage in structured discussions on the future of US-German relations. The workshop will begin with a brief “decomposition” exercise, in which participants will isolate the key drivers shaping the relationship between Washington and Berlin. Following this, they will work to prioritize the most pressing of these drivers and shape them into engaging forecasting questions. The goal of the session will be to give participant opportunities to reevaluate their thinking on key issues and approach pressing questions from novel perspectives. Questions generated during the exercise will also be posted on the RANGE platform, where forecasters will be able to input their own responses.

SPEAKERS:

  • Marshall Reid: Senior Manager of US-EU-Asia Dynamics at the Bertelsmann Foundation
