Workshop: Innovation in Science

October 29 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

This workshop aims at addressing some of the overlooked areas of innovation in academia. In a rapidly digitalizing world, it’s easy to assume that the frontier of progress lies solely in integrating digital tools and AI into research. However, this workshop posits that innovation also lies in reshaping conventional practices and systems. Over a span of 75 minutes, we will delve deep into non-digital innovation areas that profoundly affect academic productivity and satisfaction. Participants will engage in discussions about transforming mundane meetings, streamlining bureaucratic processes to fuel creativity, and improving working conditions to foster a vibrant academic culture. This workshop is not just about identifying problems but also crafting solutions, with the aim of sparking a paradigm shift that leads to a more efficient and enjoyable academic environment for all. Let’s unlock academia’s full potential, empowering scholars and institutions to address and resolve the pressing challenges of our era.
