Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth, LL.M. (Yale), has served as presiding Justice of the First Senate of the Federal Constitutional Court since November 2018 and was appointed President of the Court in June 2020. Following his law studies, he obtained his doctorate (Dr. jur.) from Heidelberg University in 1998. From 1997 to 1999, he completed his legal traineeship in Berlin. He obtained a Master of Laws from Yale Law School in New Haven (Connecticut/USA) in 2000. For many years, he practised as a lawyer and was a member of the German Bundestag. He is an honorary professor at Heidelberg University.
Ambassador of the European Union to the United States
Jovita Neliupšienė became the Ambassador of the European Union to the United States on January 1, 2024. Before that, she was a Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania from September 2022, where she was responsible for the coordination of European Affairs, European bilateral and regional issues, as well as national sanctions coordinator.
From 2020-2022, she was Vice Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania, tasked with investment and export promotion, international cooperation, including policy coordination of state-owned enterprises, as well as chairing the interagency commission for export control.
In 2020, she held the post of Chancellor and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. This position included responsibility for staff coordination, legal and consular affairs. Between 2015-2020, she served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the EU. These years were marked by the migration crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic.
From 2009-2015, she worked as an advisor and chief foreign policy advisor to the President of the Republic of Lithuania Ms. Dalia Grybauskaite. She was responsible for foreign policy coordination, inter-institutional relations, as well as the role of sherpa/EU advisor, and in this respect took a leading position in preparing and coordinating the Lithuanian presidency of the EU Council in 2013. In 2014, she was awarded the State Decoration Order "For Merit to Lithuania" Commander's Cross.

Hildegard Müller, born in 1967, has been the President of the VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry) since February 1, 2020. Her last position at Dresdner Bank was as Department Director.

Dr. Danyal Bayaz was born in Heidelberg in 1983, where he graduated from high school and completed his civilian service at the German Cancer Research Center. After his studies at the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim (communication science with a specialization in banking), he completed his doctorate on private equity and spent a research period at Cornell University in New York as a Fulbright scholar. From 2013 to 2017 Dr. Bayaz worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, including for clients in the banking and public sectors. In 2017, he was elected to the German Bundestag for the Green Party. Dr. Bayaz was a full member of the Bundestag's Finance Committee and a deputy member of the Budget Committee and the Enquete Commission on Artificial Intelligence. He was also a member of the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly and chairman of the 3rd Investigation Committee of the 19th Bundestag, also known as the "Wirecard Investigation Committee". He also chaired the Economic Advisory Council of the Green Party's parliamentary group in the Bundestag. On May 12, 2021, Minister President Winfried Kretschmann appointed Dr. Bayaz as Minister of Finance of Baden-Württemberg.

Johanna is an alumna of Deutsche Journalistenschule (DJS) in Munich. She holds a MA in Comparative Literature from Freie Universität Berlin and a BA in German, Islamic Studies, and Political Science from Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg.

Dr. Mridul Agrawal is a physician, scientist, and healthcare entrepreneur dedicated to advancing the care for cancer patients. He is president and co-founder of iuvando Health, a Germany-based innovative digital health and precision oncology company that enables patients with cancer to find and access life-saving treatments within clinical trials. Prior to this, Dr. Agrawal was a research fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard with a focus on blood cancer. Dr. Agrawal studied medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (Baltimore), University of Zürich, and Heidelberg University, where he graduated with a doctorate degree. He also obtained a master’s degree in Health Economics from Heidelberg University. Dr. Agrawal was also a former scholar of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes). He has been honored with multiple highly prestigious national and international awards both in his role as a physician-scientist and entrepreneur.
