Ilya Marritz

Ilya Marritz is a 2024 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University. He co-hosted the #1-rated iTunes podcast “Will Be Wild” about the January 6th Capitol attack, and the duPont silver baton-winning podcast “Trump, Inc.” Most recently, he covered threats to democracy for ProPublica and Trump legal matters for NPR. Prior to that, he worked as a reporter for WNYC-New York Public Radio. Ilya has had bylines in Time Magazine, New York Magazine, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, The New Yorker, the Financial Times, and the New York Daily News. He has been a guest on All In With Chris Hayes, Cuomo Prime Time on CNN, and PBS’ Newshour. He has also taught audio journalism at Columbia Journalism School and the City University of New York.
