Dr. Jochen Lennerz

Medical Director of the Center for Integrated Diagnostics, Massachusetts General Hospital

Dr. Joe Lennerz is an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS), the Associate Chief of Pathology and the Medical Director of the Center for Integrated Diagnostics (CID) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). He oversees all aspects of personalized diagnostics at MGH. CID is performing technology assessments and optimizing care delivery through rapid clinical integration of innovative technologies. Dr. Lennerz studied medicine and molecular medicine in Erlangen Germany and did his residency fellowship at Washington University followed by a postdoc at MGH/HMS. Dr. Lennerz is board certified by the American Board of Pathology and the American Board of Medical Genetics. His interests are regulatory science, molecular-genetic biomarkers, and financial sustainability of high-complexity devices. He is a founder of the Pathology Innovation Collaborative Community, a regulatory science initiative with FDA participation. He is the acting president of the Association of Directors of Anatomic and Surgical Pathology.
