Kerstin Kohlenberg

Kerstin Kohlenberg studied Sociology at FU-Berlin and The New School in New York. She worked for the public broadcaster ZDF and has been at ZEIT since 2003. She was the deputy head of the Features Section and the Investigative Team before she became the US Correspondent from 2014-2021. During her time in the U.S. she hosted the podcast 'Die Patrioten' in which she interviewed average American citizens from across the political spectrum on their understanding of patriotism. She has won various journalism prizes and is currently working on a book about three very different American lives.
