LtCol Anastasia Biefang

Born in Krefeld in 1974, Anastasia Biefang has been an officer in the German Armed Forces since 1994. She holds a masters degree in pedagogy from the University of the German Armed Forces in Munich and, after completing her technical training, she has held various leadership and staff positions within the German Armed Forces. She is a graduate of the Bundeswehr General Staff course of the Command and Staff Academy in Hamburg and then served, among other things, as a desk officer for Strategy and Operations in the Federal Ministry of Defence. In 2017 she was appointed commander of the Information Technology Battalion 381 in Storkow (Mark) until 2020. Since then she is a branch head in the Cyber and Information Domain Service Headquarters in Bonn. She served two tours of duty deployed to Afghanistan (2011/2012 and 2018/2019).
