Andreas Haupt

Andreas is a fourth-year Ph.D. Candidate in Engineering-Economic Systems at the CS and AI Laboratory and the College of Computing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He studies algorithmic accountability in economic contexts, by combining real-world data with economic theory and computation to improve how algorithms interact with their users. He has previously worked at the European Commission and the German national parliament, and will work for the U.S. Federal Trade Commission in the summer 2023.
