Marie is a first-year Phd student at the Cologne Graduate School of Ageing Research, trying to discover novel drugs that can increase human health- and lifespan and investigating how these compounds can be influenced by the gut microbiome.
Prior to her Phd she obtained a M.Sc. in Molecular Biotechnology at Heidelberg University and was a visiting student at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Other than science she is passionate about traveling, healthy cooking and ballet.
