Marlene is a medical student from Heidelberg University and currently she is doing research at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School for her medical doctoral thesis. Her work aims at finding a treatment for a rare hereditary neurological disease that affects children form an early age.
In her free time Marlene enjoys exploring the museums, talks, concerts and other events that Boston offers and she loves collecting the free merch at Harvard sports events. Moreover, she is passionate about science communication, loves exercising outdoors and meeting new people like the inspiring organizational team of the German American Conference.
