Sophie is a 5th-year medical student at Heidelberg University, currently pursuing her MD thesis at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Her research focuses on the link between neurodegeneration and viral infection in Alzheimer's Disease. In addition to her academic pursuits, Sophie leads a non-partisan political organization in Germany, where she is dedicated to encouraging young adults to step out of their political comfort zones and engage in vivid discussions with those who hold different viewpoints. In her freetime she is passionate about field hockey, enjoys playing the piano and loves reading!
