Panel: Land of the Free? Home of Bureaucracy? Building Transatlantic Environments for Innovation

October 28 @ 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm

Fostering digital and green innovation is a salient topic. In this panel, we are looking at the cultural, legal and financial framework that enables and drives innovation in the US and Germany. We want to explore what Germany – often known as the home of bureaucracy – can learn from the US, and what has driven the remarkable American success story in digital technology. In addition, we seek to discuss which role transatlantic values such as liberty, equality and free speech play in innovation, and whether we can leverage these to create a transatlantic technosphere.

With Lutz Reimers, Thomas Koenen, Thilo Braun, and Robin Quinville, moderated by Kirsten Rulf
