Artificial Intelligence (AI) develops rapidly, demanding fast regulatory action. However, Artificial Intelligence poses formidable challenges from a technical, but in particular from a legal point of view. The challenges, opportunities and problems of regulating AI will be the topic of this panel. After exploring general concerns regarding the regulation of AI, the panel will develop a transatlantic comparison of the future AI regulatory landscape along the EU AI Act, Representative Schumer’s proposals in the United States Congress, and the prospects of a dedicated AI Regulator in the United States.
